Skip Grant Invitational History | |
Oliver "Skip" Grant was a successful cross country coach at St. Albans School from the 1970's through 1990's. He won 15 IAC titles in his time as coach, and he was named Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year for boys cross country in 1993. He was considered a mentor off the course, as well. One of his endeavors was a mentorship program at St. Albans School which guided students with traditionally underrepresented backgrounds at the school. The program was later named for Grant.
The Skip Grant Invitational was started by Ted Findler of National Cathedral and St. Albans Schools in 2019 at the Agricultural Farm Park in Derwood, Maryland. |
