Division I

The B-CC boys will be stronger later in the season, but right now they lack the depth to beat Wootton in a dual meet.

The Wootton girls have depth but B-CC's strength up top will lead the Lady Barons to victory.

This will be Quince Orchard's season debut which makes the matchup with Whitman tricky to predict. Whitman had strong duos on the boys and girls side at the Woodward Relays, but I expect Quince Orchard boys and girls will be almost as strong at the top and stronger from 3 to 7.

Division II

Fans voted the Richard Montgomery and Poolesville boys teams dead even in Mocorunning's preseason poll and I think that is justifiable. This one seems pretty even on paper, but I'll go with Richard Montgomery packing it in with a smaller 1-5 spread to beat out Poolesville.

The Poolesville vs. RM girls matchup could be just as close as the boys. Poolesville will likely take the top two spots which will be hard for RM to overcome.

Division III

We have not heard a peep out of Springbrook to this point making this girls match up unpredictable. Springbrook returns a pretty good girls team on paper. Clarksburg has shown a large dropoff after its #2 girl which could prove troublesome against Springbrook.

Division IV

The quad meet at Northwood could ultimately decide the Division IV winner. The Northwood girls and Paint Branch boys appear to be the early division favorites. The Wheaton boys and Kennedy girls may have a chance at an upset. I'm looking forward to seeing the race between Lorenzo Neil and Binyam Tadesse, two sophomores that really bought into the sport as freshmen last year.
