Division I

Rumor has it that Brandt Silver-Korn may make his season debut for Whitman against B-CC this week which will make things interesting in this mid-season match up. If Palmer and Silver-Korn run hard and take the top two spots, it will be tough for B-CC to win this one, but Palmer has a tendency to sit out of these Wednesday meets.

Both the B-CC and Whitman girls have a strong front runner and a deeper team than they thought they had in August. Whitman's very young team is stronger through the fifth spot.

Division II

I've never picked three teams to split a tri meet evenly, but it seems like the most likely scenario when Magruder, RM, and Gaithersburg come together at Gaithersburg. RM has the tight pack which could be the death of Magruder. Unfortunately the lack of a strong and experienced front runner will make it very difficult to break into Gaithersburg's top three barring any illnesses or disqualifications. Magruder on the other hand will be able to break up Gaithersburg's top three with Nicolas Escobar running with the leaders. Magruder's #4-7 runners, while probably not as strong as those from RM, should pack it in in front of Gaithersburg's.

The Richard Montgomery girls raced their toughest opponents first and now it is time to regain some confidence against Gaithersburg and Magruder.

Division III

The undefeated Blair boys and girls should move two steps closer to next week's showdown with Clarksburg for the division crowns after racing Paint Branch and Poolesville. Poolesville's top runners David Wilson and Jenny Reid should be expected to lead the way.

I "love" how you always cover so much of the boy's race and boy's accomplishments and skip over the girl's race or write 1 or 2 sentences! whats up with that?!

Very little people care about the girl races. Thats why.

Equal coverage for all

Who says no one cares about the girls? There are a lot of us who do and equal coverage should be given. There are a lot of girls who can outrun the guys, probably including you!

"Always" is a strong word. Not every dual meet is the super bowl.

well, it sure seems to be "super bowl" sized for the guys (even when the guys had crappy races)so maybe the guys should have only a sentence or two written about them too...just to make it fair. cause we wouldn't want to discriminate now would we?
